Adrian Beltre singled in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as Texas walked off with a three-game sweep of visiting Boston.
Joe Nathan (1-0) got the win in relief after Yu Darvish started for the Rangers and struck out 14 while allowing three runs in seven innings on a career-high 127 pitches.
Nelson Cruz tied it with a two-run homer in the sixth and Mitch Moreland hit a solo shot in the third for Texas.
David Ortiz and David Ross homered in the first two innings as Boston grabbed a 3-0 lead.

Giants 4, Dodgers 3
Hunter Pence drove in four runs and Matt Cain worked into the eighth inning as San Francisco completed a three-game sweep of visiting Los Angeles and extended its winning streak to six games.
After going winless in six April starts, Cain (1-2) turned in a superb effort while giving up one run on five hits over 7 1/3 innings.
trailing 4-0, the Dodgers rallied with three runs in the eighth behind a two-run single by Adrian Gonzalez and an RBI from Dee Gordon but were unable to tie the contest.

J.J. Hardy and Manny Machado each hit two-run homers as visiting Baltimore defeated Los Angeles for the third time in four games.
Jason Hammel (5-1) gave up four runs and nine hits in six innings to win his fourth consecutive decision.

Padres 5, Diamondbacks 1
Jedd Gyorko and Will Venable hit back-to-back home runs in the sixth inning to lift host San Diego in the rubber game of the three-game series.
Gyorko, a rookie second baseman, had two hits to give him six in the series and San Diego starter Edinson Volquez (3-3) won his third straight start, allowing one run and four hits in 6 2/3 innings.

Tigers 9, Astros 0
Justin Verlander took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and Prince Fielder and three others homered as visiting Detroit completed a resounding four-game sweep.
The Tigers outscored Houston by a whopping 37-8 margin in the series to record their first four-game road sweep since May 2006.
Verlander (4-2) did not give up a hit until Carlos Pena's single one out into the seventh and completed seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts.

Rays 8, Rockies 3
Kelly Johnson and Ryan Roberts had two hits and two RBIs apiece as visiting Tampa Bay took two of three games from Colorado.
James Loney had three hits with three runs and an RBI and Alex Cobb (4-2) allowed three runs in 6 2/3 innings as the Rays completed their road trip with a 4-5 record.

Royals 6, White Sox 5 (10 innings)
Alex Gordon singled beyond the grasp of Chicago right fielder Alex Rios with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning as host Kansas City notched a dramatic walk-off victory.
The Royals were one strike away from losing in the ninth when Billy Butler drilled a tying two-run double into the gap in right-center to tie the score 5-5.
Greg Holland (1-1) pitched a scoreless top of the 10th for Kansas City.

Athletics 5, Yankees 4
Josh Donaldson hit a tiebreaking home run in the eighth inning as visiting Oakland won the rubber game of the three-game series.
Luke Montz homered in the fourth and Yoenis Cespedes went deep an inning later for a 4-1 lead, but the Yankees tied it with three runs in the sixth.
Lyle Overbay had a two-run single and Robinson Cano and Ichiro Suzuki each had two hits and an RBI for New York, which finished its 10-game homestand with a 7-3 record.

Twins 4, Indians 2
Mike Pelfrey shook free from a slump with six strong innings as visiting Minnesota snapped Cleveland's six-game winning streak.
Pelfrey (3-3), who gave up 19 runs in 17 innings over his previous four starts, yielded only a fourth-inning RBI sacrifice fly to Mark Reynolds while striking out a season-high seven and walking one.
Trevor Plouffe provided all the offense Pelfrey needed with a two-run homer in the second.

Reds 7, Cubs 4
Joey Votto collected three hits and an RBI and Todd Frazier went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs as visiting Cincinnati completed a three-game sweep on the road.
The Reds took control with three runs in the fourth. Chicago battled back and got the tying run to the plate with no outs in the ninth before J.J. Hoover worked out of the jam for his second save.
Edwin Jackson (0-5) remained winless in seven starts with the Cubs, allowing four runs over five innings.

Cardinals 10, Brewers 1
Allen Craig had a three-run double in a six-run second inning and added an RBI triple as visiting St. Louis completed a four-game sweep.
Jaime Garcia (4-1) won his third straight start, giving up one run on eight hits in eight innings, and Matt Holliday belted a two-run shot and had three RBIs as the Cardinals won their sixth consecutive game.

Marlins 14, Phillies 2
Adeiny Hechavarria tied a franchise record with seven RBIs as visiting Miami beat struggling Roy Halladay to gain a split of a four-game series.
Hechavarria capped a five-run first inning with a three-run triple and then chased Halladay (2-4) in the third with a grand slam.
Justin Ruggiano homered twice while two-time Cy Young winner Halladay was charged with nine runs as his ERA soared to 8.65.

Braves 9, Mets 4
Freddie Freeman homered and drove in three runs while Reed Johnson added three RBIs as Atlanta routed visiting New York to salvage a split of the abbreviated series.
Braves starter Tim Hudson (4-1) struck out seven over 7 1/3 innings and was charged with three runs to win his second straight start.

Nationals 6, Pirates 2
Tyler Moore and Danny Espinosa each drove in three runs while Gio Gonzalez logged only his second quality start over his last five outings as visiting Washington took two of three from Pittsburgh.
Espinosa, hit a tiebreaking two-run homer in the fourth and Gonzalez (3-2) allowed two runs and five hits over six innings.

Blue Jays 10, Mariners 2
Mark DeRosa and Melky Cabrera homered in a four-run fifth inning as Toronto averted a sweep at the hands of visiting Seattle.
Cabrera and Maicer Izturis both finished 3-for-4 and DeRosa added three hits for the Blue Jays, which won for just the second time in the past 10 games. (Editing by John O'Brien)
