March 14 (Reuters) - Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Kenley Jansen will join the Netherlands team for their upcoming World Baseball Classic semi-final game in San Francisco on Monday, organizers said on Thursday.
Jansen replaces pitcher Jonatan Isenia, who has a strained right elbow.
The Dodgers righthander is the second late addition to the Dutch team. On Wednesday, infielder Jurickson Profar, rated as one of Major League Baseball's top prospects, was cleared to leave the Texas Rangers' spring training camp to join the Netherlands as an injury replacement.
The 25-year-old Jansen, coming off October surgery to correct an irregular heartbeat, said he would work out with the Dodgers through Sunday before traveling to San Francisco.
The Netherlands will play in the second semi-final game as runner-up of Pool 1. Two-time reigning WBC champions Japan will play in the opening semi-final on Sunday.
The United States, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico are battling for the other two semi-final berths from Pool 2.
The title game of the elite, 16-team international tournament will be held on Tuesday.
